Are You Dreaming

Recently I designed a tee for my then ill friend Gilbert GuGu Cruz. I am sad to say GuGu has passed away. The tees Lee and I designed however, were very well received. I believe they raised about $1,000 for GuGu's family.

I attended the funeral and was mixed with emotions to see that GuGu was wearing the shirt we designed. He was buried in the tee that had my lettering on it. Lettering that he introduced me to. That is still a surreal thing to me.

Soon after the tee was printed, GuGu's brother in law, Rich Guerra, asked me if I could work on a special project for his sister Olivia, who is Gu's wife.

Of course I quickly responded that I would be glad to do it. So we talked and he gave me a quote that has deep meaning for Olivia and Gu. The quote is

"If you're sleeping, are you dreaming, if you're dreaming, are you dreaming of me?"
